16 December 2018 (Dhaka, Bangladesh)– Today marks the 48th year of victory, which was earned by a bloodshed war of 9 months in 1971. Bangladesh is celebrating her Victory Day by honouring the martyrs and various state ceremonies. Unlike every year, a National Parade wasn’t held rather local administration organized district level parades, which was of great significance.
In this year’s Victory Day celebration, BNCC cadets participated in parades and display events in several districts. Mentionable are Chattogram, Khulna, Cumilla, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dinajpur, Gaibandha, Manikganj, Noakhali and Panchagarh. The vibrant parade displays of BNCC cadets have been applauded by the local administration, civil defense forces and senior citizens. The jubilant, colorful and well-disciplined parade of BNCC cadets in the outreach districts of Bangladesh have become a point of attraction of everyone present.
The objective of BNCC is to train the students of school, college and universities in order to make good citizens. This competent, disciplined and composed volunteer force is preparing to serve the nation standing shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces. The activity of BNCC cadets at various districts of the country signifies their training standard and commitment to national service. This national level participation enriches the cadets with patriotism and pride. It also inspires other students to take a baptism of volunteering and discipline with Bangladesh National Cadet Corps.
