At present, the BNCC has five Regiments in Army wing. Each Regiment is commanded by a Lieutenant Colonel from the Army who is directly responsible to the Director for enrollment, training and employment of cadets. A regiment has five battalions, each of which is commanded by a Bangladesh Territorial Forces Officer (BTFO) of the rank of Major. A BTFO is basically teaching staffs who is assisted in his command by a Battalion Adjutant in the rank of Major from the Army. A battalion is comprised of five companies and each company has three platoons. Each company has a Company Commander from the teaching staff. Every platoon has a Professor Under Officer (PUO)/Teacher Under Officer (TUO) and a NCO for the training of the platoon.
